Dear James

I am Yuki Mukaiyama. I would like to apply for a staff who stocks shelves, packs bags, and serves foods. The reasons why I would like to work at food bank are that I want to help poor people, I am interested in the activity of non-profit, and I was a member of non-profit when I was in Japan. As you see, I have curious of the activity of non-profit, especially food bank.

I am a university student now. My most recent accomplishment is to get the special prize in my group of NPO. The purpose of this group is to connect university students with politics.  In order to do that, my group explain them what social problems is. The reason why I did that is to give them an opportunity to get to know about social problems. This is a way to connect them with social problems. In this group, someone who did something special and important is prized once a month. I was chosen because I explained many students the problem.

I am a person who is not willing to do any tasks.

I have experienced a food bank in Japan, so I know that people need help. In addition to that, I have experienced the work of a food bank in Canada. That is why I know most of tasks at food bank. When I worked for the food bank as a fieldwork in Canada, my boss said to me “You were hard worker, and you were the one who worked hardest in all of us.”

My work experience in the convenience store improved some skills such as customer service.

The skill is useful for the work of non-profit because the experience taught me how to communicate with people effectively.

Sincerely,

Yuki Mukaiyama
